Last month, I wrote about keys to success and the survival of the dietetics profession, spotlighting our need to adopt an evidence-based approach to practice. This month, I would like to focus on the environment in which our success and survival must occur. In a world that grows more interdependent and connected by the day, it is in our interest to build and maintain productive relationships with organizations—for-profit companies, nonprofit associations, and government agencies—whose goals and values in food and healthful eating parallel ADA’s.
