President's Page Empowerment: A commitment, not a buzzword
Empowering members to compete in the 21st century is one of the main goals of ADA's 2003-06 strategic plan. It is our mission to help members develop and prosper as dietetics professionals. I would like to begin my first Journal President's Page by thanking each and every ADA member for electing me to serve as your 78th President. I have been fortunate to work side-by-side with Immediate Past President Julie O'Sullivan Maillet and I'm proud of the work she has done to advance ADA and the entire profession. The coming year holds just as many challenges and opportunities for our members and our profession, and I am more than ready to get started on them.
