Donating Journals
Members often inquire about donating their old Journals to a good cause, but don’t know where to start. The Special Libraries Association Web site provides a list of organizations that accept donations of old journals and redistribute them to developing countries, found at http://www.sla.org/content/resources/inforesour/reftool/bkdonate.cfm. The Journal encourages our readers to take advantage of this opportunity to share our knowledge.

Clinical Nutrition Management Symposium
March 29-April 1, 2008, Crowne Plaza Riverwalk, San Antonio, TX. This year’s Annual Clinical Nutrition Management (CNM) Dietetic Practice Group (DPG) Symposium is “Leading System Improvement: Optimizing Organizational and Patient Outcomes.” Although Clinical Nutrition Managers (CNMs) have made significant progress in improving the quality of patient care and the environment of care in their organizations, there is still a need for improvement in these care systems. This symposium is designed for CNMs who are interested in learning more about innovative strategies that will improve systems and result in safer, higher-quality care. The topics include: 1) leading system change in a complex and highly technological health care environment, 2) using information technology to advance clinical and management components of health care, and 3) using complexity science principles to build teams. Brochures with registration information will be sent to all CNM DPG members in January. If you are not currently a CNM DPG member and would like to receive the mailing when available, please e-mail your request to [email protected] or fax to 1-312-475-1405. If you would like to consider sponsorship or exhibiting at the symposium, please contact Kelly Danis at 1-412-647-3621 or [email protected] no later than February 1, 2008.
